There is no one answer to this question as the amount of ancient Roman writings that have survived varies greatly. It is estimated that only a small portion, less than 1%, of all the literature written in ancient Rome has survived to the present day. This is due to a number of factors, such as the fact that many writings were not preserved or have since been lost.
