I don’t know if you’ve ever read a book set in ancient Rome, but if you haven’t, you’re missing out. A Day in the Life of Ancient Rome by Robert Payne is one of the best books set in that time period. Payne does an excellent job of transporting the reader back to what life was like in Rome. He covers everything from the food the people ate, to the clothes they wore, to the way they spent their leisure time. You really get a sense of what it was like to live in ancient Rome after reading this book.<\/p>\n
