There is evidence that ancient Romans wore a variety of clothing, depending on their social status. The wealthy could afford to be clothed in fine silk and linen, while the lower classes generally wore woolen clothes. It is also believed that Roman women often wore brightly colored clothing, while men usually stuck to more subdued colors.<\/p>\n
